Make someone happy by giving that person a great big smile. It will convey warmth and caring and a wish for a good day. If you are not happy with your smile, you may need the help of an orthodontist to restore and enhance the natural beauty of your teeth or possibly provide braces to fix major issues.
Your smile is a great asset and also says a great deal about your overall health. Applying a whitening product or having broken, cracked or missing teeth corrected is very important as well as tending to your gums. Most tooth decay and almost all gum diseases can be prevented with good oral hygiene. Taking a few minutes every day to brush and floss is not a lot of effort to put out in return for a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.
Avoid sugary foods
Simple sugars such as those found in carbonated soft drinks and even fruit drinks are broken down by bacteria in the mouth, and acids are produced that can erode enamel and cause decay. Especially sipping drinks raises the acid levels, and sticky candies linger on the surfaces of the teeth.
Change your toothbrush
That should be done three or four times each year. Talk to the orthodontist or dentist about using special toothbrushes for braces. Some people find it easier to use an electric toothbrush.
